Meet the Team
Thompson Peak Internal Medicine works hard to constantly improve the care provided to its patients. We focus on engaging patients in a supportive, meaningful, team-based approach. This allows us to keep our patients healthy by supporting their wellness goals and allows us to better manage acute and chronic illnesses. In order for us to provide the most convenient and supportive care possible, our care team includes you, your physician, nurse practitioner, medical assistants, and administrative professionals.
Physician
Physicians lead your care team. They guide your care, diagnose and treat complex health problems, create plans of care, and support other members of your team. In addition they review your outside records and consult with your specialists as needed to coordinate your care.
Nurse Practitioner
These primary care providers diagnose and treat complex and acute health concerns and work collaboratively with physicians to identify the best plan of care for you.
Nurse practitioners are registered nurses with advanced academic and clinical education at the graduate level. A master's degree in nursing, along with specialty education, enables nurse practitioners to diagnose and manage many common illnesses, both acute and chronic.
Medical Assistants
These providers are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease while visiting our practice. They will prepare you for your appointment, coordinate your preventative screenings, provide education, give vaccinations, and other medical procedures including taking vital signs, EKGs, ear irrigations, and INR checks.
Administrative Professionals
These team members provide an important role with welcoming you: coordinating appointments, guiding you through the complexities of medical insurance and the healthcare system, and assisting with medical billing.
